Many people have comprehensible doubts about the sound quality of mp3 files – will it be good enough for the production of a vinyl record? But there are various mp3 formats. We only accept files with a compression rate of at least 256 kbits/sec. With this quality the loss is mainly noticeable in the high end area of over 17 khz. Due to the fact that a vinyl record can hardly play back these frequencies, the difference between a cut WAV-file and a mp3-file is practically not hearable anymore. Sometimes mp3 files lack of “pressure” in the low end area, but this is easily compensated during our cutting process.
So for all people who have still doubts: just test it!
